How we began
A Practice Born from Purpose
Rustic Roots Family Care began as a dream — to create a place where patients feel truly seen and heard. Inspired by a calling to serve and a love for community, our founders opened our doors with a commitment to blend the best of modern medicine with the wisdom of holistic care.
Today, we are honored to care for patients of all ages — from newborns to grandparents — walking alongside families through every season of life. Our roots run deep in this community, and we are grateful for every patient who trusts us with their care.

Mandy Coffey FNP-C
Co-Founder & Family Nurse Practitioner
Meet Mandy Coffey, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the heart behind Rustic Roots Family Care. Mandy has spent 18 years in healthcare, caring for patients in some of the moments when they need someone most. She began her career as a Registered Nurse after graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2008, working in critical care and emergency medicine. She later spent nearly a decade at Hospitality Health ER, an experience that shaped much of the way she practices medicine today. It was there that Mandy developed an even greater appreciation for exceptional customer service, meaningful patient relationships, and simply listening to what patients actually need. In 2021, Mandy graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston as a Family Nurse Practitioner and transitioned into primary care. She provides care for patients throughout the lifespan—from newborns to end of life—with a focus on treating the whole person, building relationships, and helping patients take an active role in their health. For Mandy, practicing medicine in a small community is personal. She takes great pride in caring for the same people she sees at the grocery store, ballfields, school events, and around town—the very people who help make her community home and who are helping her raise her own family. Outside the clinic, Mandy has been married to her husband, Corey, for nine years. Together they have two rambunctious boys who keep life busy, loud, and anything but boring. When she isn’t caring for patients, you’ll usually find her spending time with family, keeping up with her boys, and embracing all the beautiful chaos that comes with this season of life. At Rustic Roots Family Care, Mandy’s goal is simple: provide knowledgeable, compassionate, down-to-earth healthcare while caring for her patients like neighbors—because that’s exactly who they are.
